“An Open (and Honest!) Letter to All New Moms”
I am mother like you. I grew up in the time of Shaun Cassidy, the Incredible Hulk, The Brady Bunch, and the Bionic Woman. I owned Barbies, Loves Baby Soft, and an Air Supply album. Women like you and I probably went to school, graduated from college, started a career, got married, and then, the BABY came. Life as we knew it was over. If you were anything like me you had no clue where to start dealing with this staggering responsibility of new motherhood.
What to do? The answers were surely in a book somewhere - that one honest book off the shelf or off the Internet. After reading this fictional book all the "new mom" issues including lack of sleep, baby crying, life changes, relationship issues, housework issues, as wells as feelings of insecurity, loneliness, and inadequacy would all be concerns of the past. One problem – The books out there all seemed to be so politically correct that they failed to provide any real direction.
Direction and honesty is all that is really wanted and needed. Give us some ideas for things to try. Tell us we are not alone. Give us some responses to the tired insincere questions that new moms are asked like; “What do you do all day?” or “You're so lucky to be home?” or "Who's watching the baby while you go back to work?" These were questions that made me want to punch someone out.
So, I started writing the book I always wanted for myself. A fun, honest, simple, easy to read book geared to making a new mom's life a little easier.
This website is the continuation of the goal of the book ---to help new mothers.
So …give yourself a break and look around! Let me know what you think about new motherhood and how you like the website.
